Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1) Know the basic sources of Islamic Philosophy.
2) Understands the place of Islamic philosophy in the Islamic thought tradition, explains its position in the history of philosophy.
3) Learn the current academic studies related to Islamic philosophy and learns the ways of evaluation.
4) Understand the interdisciplinary interaction that Islamic Philosophy is related to.
5) Explain the prominent philosophers in the history of philosophy, the main problem areas and disciplines of philosophy, the basic philosophical concepts.

Course Contents

Within the scope of this course, the structure, sources, history, place of Islamic philosophy in the history of philosophy, its position in the Islamic thought tradition, as well as basic concepts and issues will be examined. During this examination, the studies carried out in this field in our country and in the world will be introduced.
