Course Contents

Basic concepts of strategic management; strategic management model; situational analysis (mission, vision, values, goals and service area analysis and internal environment analysis); developing alternative strategies (directional, adaptation, market entry, competition), evaluating alternatives and choosing a strategy; implementation of the selected strategy (development of service delivery and support strategies and unit action plans); Topics and practices such as developing strategic thinking maps to guide strategic momentum at every stage will be discussed through case studies from the maritime industry.
