Course Contents

This course includes seas and maritime,marine and its importance, historical background of shipping,introduction to the maritime industry, position of Turkey in marine industry, Turkish marine and maritime statistics, characteristics and qualities of agency management, concepts of maritime in agency management .This course provides students with the knowledge of documentation and its classification, ship certificates with regards to the load carried, cargo papers according to the load carried by ships,importance of ship certificates and places where they are used. It also introduces cargo documentation, samples related to ship notifications, classification of cargo documents suitable for operations , proforma, load documents belonging to different types of ships , operation, timing positions of documents and preparation of documents unrelated. ship arrival and departure control operations, pilotage and towage services, guidance services in the European Union, the Straits and Report System, BIMCO, container and container agency, bunkering, Shipchandlering and Surveying. This course also gives information about Public institutions and organizations working in the maritime field in Turkey, international maritime organizations and ports in Turkey.
