Biochemical basis of molecular biology The flow of genetic information, Nucleic asid biochemistry, DNA metobolizing enzymes, Biochemical techniques to study DNA and RNA (Purification of nucleic acids, Gel electrophoresis, DNA sequencing, Blotting, DNA sequence analysis techniques). 2. The tools of molecular biology E. coli K12 and its properties, Lac operon and the use of lac operon in molecular biology, bacterial plazmids, Bacteriophage based plasmids. 3. Gene analysis methods Creating a DNA library, screening and analysis. 4. Genome organization E. coli K12 genome S. cerevisiae genome Human genome Genome mapping New generation genome sequencing Genome data analysis and contig assembly Pulse field electrophoresis and analysis of fragmented DNA
