Course Contents

This course provides candidates with profound knowledge on analysis and adaptaptation of activity in occupational therapy, the role of occupational therapy in the development, maintainance and restoration of living skills.

Weekly Schedule

1) Definition of activities of daily living (ADL).
2) Assessment of ADL's.
3) Situations to be considered in planning the treatment program.
4) The creation of disease-specific treatment programs.
5) Activity analysis in ADL.
6) Capability analysis in ADL.
7) Definition and properties of self-help devices in rehabilitation-1.
8) Midterm examination/Assessment
9) Definition and properties of self-help devices in rehabilitation-2.
10) Modification of the device appropriate for the patient.
11) Principles of motion economy.
12) Training in daily living activities in various diseases-1.
13) Training in daily living activities in various diseases-2.
14) Energy consumption in daily living activities.
