Course Contents

Within the scope of this course the spatial analysis aplications in the field of remote sensing will be examined. The capabilities of the students interms of using remote sensing software, spatial query, literature survey, a research project preperation and presentation will increse.

1) The use of remote sensing technology in temporal difference analysis, change detection analysis and applications
2) Determination of illegal construction by remote sensing images
3) Segmentation analysis and applications
4) Urban development and buildup monitoring
5) The structure of satellite imagery, band combinations and adding and exclution and application
6) Texture parameter creation and its effects to classification
7) Principle component analysis and pansharpening applications
8) Midterm
9) Destruction and variation analysis of forest and green regions
10) Land use land cover mapping and applications
11) Identification and mapping of coastal lines
12) Use of satellite imagery in geological activities
13) Determination of plant species in agricultural areas and harvest estimation
14) Identification and mapping of coastal lines
15) Assessment of plant health by using vegetation indexes, tasseled cap transformation
