Course Contents

The views on property and historical framework, sociology of owners in land arrangements, property in civil law, inheritance law and land ownership.

1) Historical evolution of property, relations of production and land ownership throughout the history of civilization
2) The sense of ownership in early civilizations, feudal societies, religions, the role of land ownership in Seljuk and Ottoman administrative systems
3) Noticeable opinions on property system
4) Relationship of property and possesorship, evolution of possesorship into property in civil law.
5) Land ownership in Turkish civil law; scope, framework and constraints
6) Land policies at republican period in Turkey and the effect of propriety
7) Public domain and their modifications
8) The concepts of public and social benefit in the restriction of property
9) The relationship between urban planning and possession
10) Propriety based difficulties in land development
