Course Contents

This course provides important of corrosion, determination of corrosion rate and units, classify of corrosion, chemical corrosion, electrochemical corrosion and mechanisms, the basic thermodynamic and electrochemical principles of corrosion, electrochemical polarization, passivation, potential pH curves(pourbaix curves), methods of electrochemical corrosion measurements, determination of anodic and cathodic tafel slopes, corrosion in variety conditions, preventing versus corrosion, anodic and cathodic protection, corrosion inhibitors.
