Wind Energy Systems
In this lecture, candidates are provided with energy conversion in a typical wind turbine, theoretical maximum mechanical energy conversion efficiency, types of wind turbines, characteristics of wind speed-power coefficiency of the wind turbine, electric generators and their performance characteristics, performance model of turbine-generator system, maximum power transfer, adaptive systems, annual energy and efficiency analysis and relating experimental studies.
