Course Contents

The factual knowledge which the students had already gained in “Turkish Politics I and II” courses will be elaborated within “center periphery,” “state dominant,” historical materialist” and “culturalist” models. The seminar prioritizes structural analysis via the utilization of some major concepts such as hegemony, modernism and post-modernism. In this graduate seminar-style course, in which contemporary issues will be discussed through theoretical frameworks, major research strategies will be introduced to the students.
