Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit
1) Understand the process of climate change and urbanizations.
2) Grasp the effect of urbanization in climate change.
3) Learn the efforts and researches that mitigate the level of carbon diokside and urban heat iselands effects.
4) Research sustainable urban development sensitive to climate change.
5) Develop knowledge about measuring urban heat island effect.
6) Evaluate the relationship among sustainable urban development, climate change, environment quality and social stability.

This course is thought around two main issues: Impact of cities and urban areas in greenhose gas emission, climate change and efforts made that involve in reducing carbon dioxide and greenhouse gas emissions in urban areas.
