Course Contents

This course covers the French Revolution and the Industrial Revolution, Europe in the Napoleonic Era, the concept of Europe, 1830 and 1848 Revolutions, Europe and Imperialism, the First and Second World Wars, political, economic and social developments in Europe from 1945 to the end of the Cold War, the development of the idea of a united Europe from the European Coal and Steel Community to the European Union.
