Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1) Dispute Settlement and Countermeasures in the International Law I The seminar pursues for basic objektives: explain and compare existring dispute prevention and dispute settlement procedures in international law; analyze their interrelationships and comparative “effectiveness” on the basis of case-studies; examine their underlying theoretical, assumptions, conflicts between “national interests”, limitation to state parties and their political and legal premises so as to elaborate proposals more democratic dispute prevention and more effective judicial dispute settlement procedures in international law; enable students to present their own research projects.
