Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1) Learning the concept of misdemeanor and the basic principles of misdemeanor law
2) Learning the misdemeanor-crime distinction
3) Learning the elements of misdemeanors
4) Learning the administrative sanctions to be applied to misdemeanors
5) Learning about judicial protection against administrative sanction decisions
6) To be able to develop and deepen current and advanced knowledge in the field with original thought and/or research at the level of expertise based on master's qualifications and to reach original definitions that will bring innovation to the field.
7) To be able to comprehend the interdisciplinary interaction that the field is related to; Ability to reach original results by using knowledge that requires expertise in analyzing, synthesizing and evaluating new and complex ideas.

The content of the course consists of the provisions brought by the Misdemeanor Law, the distinction between crimes and misdemeanors, the application area of the Turkish Penal Code regarding misdemeanors, and the sanctions applied to misdemeanors.
