Course Contents

The concepts of theory and model will be discussed, conservative, critical theories and cultural studies will be explained. Theories of Mass Communication: Normative Individualism Theory, System Theory, Critical Theory, Frankfurt School, Birmingham School, Structuralism will be explained.

1) Information about the content of the course, theory and model concepts will be explained.
2) Theoretic Theory and liberal theory will be explained.
3) Socialist theory and pluralist democratic theory will be explained.
4) The theory of development and theory of social responsibility will be explained.
5) The theories of conservative school will be explained.
6) Mainstream communication theories will be explained.
7) Mainstream communication theories will be explained. (Continued from previous course)
8) Midterm / Assessment
9) The work of Horkheimer, one of the members of the Frankfurt school, will be explained.
10) Adornn's works will be explained.
11) The approaches of the Frankfurt school members will be discussed.
12) Economic political approaches will be explained.
13) Cultural studies will be examined.
14) Hegemony, ideology, representation concepts will be discussed.
15) A general evaluation of the course will be held.
