Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1) Describe the composition and the physical properties of the blood.
2) Describe the hematopoiesis.
3) Know erythrosyte count and morphology. Classifies hemoglobine reactions, types of hemoglobine and abnormal hemoglobine. Describes lifespan of erythrosytes, hemolysis, anemia and polysytemia.
4) Describe how ABO and Rh blood groups are determined and the consequences of blood group mismatch.
5) Define features of platelets and Describe the mechanisms of hemostasis
