Course Contents

This course provides students with the knowledge of fundementals of electrical machines: construction, principle of operation as generator and motor. characteristics of DC and AC machines. Starting, braking and speed control of electrical motors, electric drive systems and opreation principles, aplications.

Weekly Schedule

1) Electro-technology and theory of electric machines, introduction of electric motor and explanation of its types
2) Basic information about automation, automatic control systems and technologies, Structure of DC motors, the operating principle, Back-EMF, Starting resistors
3) Electric controls, Technology of electrical materials, Shunt, Series Motors, Kompunt Motors, armature reaction, commutation
4) Power distribution panels and electrical equipment, Alternating current motors, alternating current motors and direct current motors comparison, the structure of 3-phase asynchronous motors, induction principle, rotating field, the rotor turns within the state of the
5) General information on hazards and precautions for the operation of power systems above 1,000 volts, Synchronous speed, asynchronous speed, the slip. Asynchronous methods in making road engines, direct start, the serial resistance start, start the serial coil
