Course Contents

Basic Concepts of Input-Output Operations. The Basic Logic Between Microprocessor and Environment Devices for Input Output Operations. Programming of I/ O Devices. Connecting an Output Device to The Output Units of Microprocessor and Programming. Interrupts. Interrupt Concepts and Developing of Interrupt Sub-Programmers. The Applications Related to Internal and External Interrupt Sources. Counters/Timers. Hardware Counter/ Identify The Basic Digital Ripple Counter. ms. Accuracy Required to Obtain a Time Interval. ADC / DAC Applications. Converting an Analogue Signal to Digital Signal by Using ADC, Converting an Digital Signal to Analogue Signal by Using DAC.

1) Basic concepts of Input / Output operations.
2) Interrupts. Interrupt sources.
3) Hardware counters.
4) TMR0, TMR1, TMR2 counters, WDT timer.
5) Compare unit.
6) Comparator interrupts, comparison operation on sleep mode, the comparator modes.
7) CCP (Capture / Compare / PWM) unit.
8) Midterm examination/Assessment
9) USART unit and serial communication.
10) EEPROM data memory.
11) Microcontroller applications.
12) ADC / DAC applications.
13) 7 segment display and keypad applications.
14) LCD display applications.
15) DC motor applications.
