Course Contents

This course covers: conduct definitions, features and advantages of electrical energy, electricity production, forms of connection, electrical circuits, basic electrical laws, alternating / direct current concept, the values of alternating current, phase and phase difference, three-phase, ohmic, inductive and capacitive load concept, introduction of measuring instruments, the materials used in power circuits, protection elements, transformers, energy transmission, splitters, cutters, parafudurlar, lightning rods, grounding, the effects of electricity to the human body, electrical circuit symbols, simple electrical diagrams.

Weekly Schedule

1) Definitions, features and advantages of electrical energy
2) Production of electricity
3) The concept of alternating current and direct current. Differences. The values of Alternative current.
4) The connection forms of electric circuits. Open circuit, closed circuit, short circuit concepts disclosed. Series resistances, connected in parallel and mixed. Voltage division. Resources connection
5) Basic electrical laws. Ohms, kirchhoff laws
6) Defination of phase. 1 phase and 3 phase difference
7) Ohmic, inductive and capacitive load concept
8) Midterm examination/Assessment
9) Introduction of the materials used in electrical circuits, switches, buttons, fuses, relays, contactors
10) Conductors for the transmission of energy
11) Transformers, the operating principle, voltage converter transformers, measuring transformers, auto transformers, transformers from a single, multi-output transformers
12) Separators
13) Cutters, parafudurlar
14) Electricity in the human body, the effects of
