Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1) Recognize unit systems, force- elongation chart, stress, elasticity module, Safety, Poisson ratio and necessary calculations.
2) Recognize stresses, shear stress, hardness, bending stress, yield stress, and make necessary.
3) Make calculations related to elogation, beams, slope, deflection and moment of inertia and make necessary calculations.
4) Calculate stress and buckling stress
5) Recognize machine elements, rivet, welding, solder, bolts, springs, bearings, rolling bearings, sliding bearings.

Course Contents

This course provides students with the knowledge of structural and functional properties of machine elements, teach for specifying functional dimensions.

Weekly Schedule

1) Learns The Unit systems, force-elongation graphs , learns the professional practice module of elasticity.
2) Learn concepts such as the occupational safety and Poisson's Ratio. Applications will have information about.
3) Stresses, Shear stress, shear stress and learn to make technical applications.
4) Hardness and bending stress, the yield stress is to learn, and learn about professional practice.
5) Elasticity, beams, tilt, deflection concepts learned.
6) Moment of inertia for the professional practice and learn the necessary calculations.
7) Torsional stress and learn the concepts of stress and occupational as well as calculations of buckling.
8) Midterm examination/Assessment
9) Riveting, welding, and soldering the concepts learned and will learn about professional practice.
10) Basic machine elements; Shafts and axles, shaft-hub connections.
11) Basic machine elements; Nut-bolt connections, connections can not be solved.
12) Basic machine elements; elastic links, belt-pulley connections.
13) Basic machine elements, springs, chain drives, gears learns concepts.
14) Basic machine elements, ball bearings, bearings learns and performs the calculations.
15) Basic Mechanical Elements, learn the elements of plain bearings, as well as calculations.
16) Final examination
