The concept of yarn. The technology and machines of production of cotton and wool yarn and their classifications.

Weekly Schedule

1) Definition and general structural features of the yarn.
2) The history of spinning and the general classification.
3) Cotton spinning. Combed and carded yarn production scheme.
4) Fiber features that affect the quality of yarn in cotton spinning. Blowroom and the machines.
5) The tasks of carding machine and the working principle.
6) The tasks and the working principle of carding machine.
7) The tasks of stretching machine and stretching process. Cord machine.
8) Midterm examination/Assessment
9) The principle of ring spinning machine and the importance of twist.
10) The numbering systems of yarn.
11) Wool spinning. Fiber features that affect the quality of wool yarn and classification of wool spinning. Wool warehouses and distinguished.
12) Opening and cleaning operations. Washing the wool and production of lanolin. Drying of the wool. Blowroom.
13) Wool carding machine. Stretching machines. Stretching account and folding principles.
14) Carding. Production of cord and twist machine.
15) OE (Rotor) Spinning.
