The finishing processes of cotton materials. The finishing processes of wool materials.The finishing processes of silk and synthetic materials.

Weekly Schedule

1) Textile finishing and the concept of finish.
2) Textile finishing processes. Chemical finishing and mechanical finishing operations.
3) Physical and chemical structure of cotton. Pre-finishing operations of cotton goods.
4) Nap burning, desizing.
5) Scouring.
6) Whitening.
7) Mercerizing.
8) Midterm examination/Assessment
9) Physical and chemical structure of the wool. Pre-finishing operations of wool products.
10) Washing and drying. Washing and drying machines of fibre, yarn and fabric.
11) Carbonizing, , bleaching, peaching and so on.
12) The finishing of silk and synthetic products.
13) Abrasion-resistant finishing, antistatic finishing, antibacterial finishing.
14) Finishing against staining and water and air tightness.
15) Using and care labels of textile products.
