Course Contents

This course covers; Topography, Measurement Units and Scales, Zoning Information, Measurement Errors, Determination of land in the right and Linear Measurement, Height Measurement, topographical curves, Angular Measurement and Polygons, Area and Volume Calculations.

Weekly Schedule

1) Topography and areas of use in the construction sector
2) The basic units of measurement, scale and types
3) Zoning law, practice and development-related technical terms
4) Mistakes made during the measurement, causes and methods of correction of errors
5) Determination lines on the different land conditions
6) Determination lengths to using different measurement instruments in the field
7) Determination of heights on the different land conditions
8) Midterm examination/Assessment
9) Determination heights to using different measurement instruments in the field
10) Determination of the horizontal and vertical angles of different land conditions
11) Determination of the horizontal and vertical angles to using different measurement instruments in the field
12) The establishment of polygons and the survey has been established out of a polygon
13) Creation of Plankote and leveling curve maps and the uses
14) Area and volume calculation using a method according to available data
15) To make presentations covering all topics
16) Final examination
