Course Contents

In this course, we will use leading work in Political Psychology to investigate critical issues in politics in Turkey. The readings incorporate approaches from various disciplines. After introducing Political Psychology’s history, methods and major themes, we will discuss the psychological aspects of campaign politics, public opinion, inter-group relations and leadership on the basis of current examples. Through case studies, we will study research on individuals as well as groups and institutions, and pay attention to the way current research in the field attempts to address both levels of analysis.
