Course Contents

This course covers operation of fiscal policy in economy and theories and analytical tools of the diciplines of fiscal policy, theoretical debates and practical issues faced by policy makers, main theories and analytical tools, finance policy, analysis of expenditure policy, the public sector in Turkey, tax policy and spillover effects, economic efficiency of the tax system, behavioral effects of the taxation, financial effects of the taxation, flexibility of the tax system, political responsiveness of the tax system, fairness of the tax system, income tax, corporate tax, automatic stabilization of a tax system, tax burden, budget and deficits, economic stability, growth, and income redistribution, role of fiscal policy in spefically political economy, all economic decisions and role of individuals in economic behavior in a free market economy, main mecanism of fiscal policy and experience of Turkish economy and world economy.
