Course Contents

The course provides students with the knowledge of information about the historical development of dictionaries to introduce the Turkish language.

1) Discription of lexicology and its historical progress
2) Dictionary, dictionary types ve dictionary studies
3) Methods of dictionary preparing
4) Dictionary types
5) Dictionaries processed vocabulary of one or more languages
6) Dictionary of one language
7) Works given units in synchro languages
8) Midterm examination/Assessment
9) Works showing the entrance date of words to the language and their origins
10) Many language dictionaries
11) Dictionaries alphabetical order taken as basis
12) Dictionaries of concepts (or concept fields)
13) Dictionaries according to qualification of vocabulary contextualized
14) General Dictionaries
