Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1) Be able to analyze literary works of contemporary literature and apply contemporary literary theories to contemporary works .
2) Acquire the ways of identifying the distinctive qualities of contemporary literary works in terms of content and style.
3) Grasp the development of literary forms in modern and contemporary works .
4) Familarize themselves with the philosophical and ideological concepts of the western thought and analyze the cultural differences.
5) Analyse the historical, cultural and political structure of the society which produced the literary texts .
