1) Gain knowledge about literary theories like Historicism, Feminism etc.
2) Acquire the ability to see the links between the theories and their influence on not only the English Literature but also the whole Western culture.
3) Familiarize themselves with the terminology of the texts on politics culture, sociology and philosophy.
4) Familiarize themselves with the philosophical and ideological concepts of the western thought and learns the cultural differences.
5) Acquire the understanding that the literary texts can be read and interpreted differently, can be interpreted via different theories.
