1) Define the basic terminology, distinguish its language and describe the history of cinema as a narrative form.
2) Identify the elements of the cinematic narrative structures.
3) Examine films as an aesthetic form as well as an economic industry and a cultural activity.
4) Explain and evaluate main disciplinary approaches and theoretical frameworks employed in the study of films.
5) Discuss the various issues pertaining to film production and consumption while exploring certain filmmaking traditions and significant theoretical debates about them.
