1) By the end of this semester the students will have developed a better understanding of the concept of modernism.
2) During this course the students will have acquired a sound knowledge of modernist tradition by comparing and contrasting it with the previous era and postmodern writing.
3) By analysing the modernist tradition in various different works the students can explore the societal, political, religious and cultural background of the period.
4) The students can analyse the process of change from modernism to postmodernism.
5) The students will have explored the reason of the development of literary forms.
