Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1) By the end of this course, students will have: 1. observed the significant change in terms of content, style, and theories in American short stories, novels, and plays in the second half of the 20th century. 2. analyzed the social, historical and ideological condition in America during the period mentioned, and identified the close link between the social situation and its impact upon the themes, technique and theories employed in the texts.
