Course Contents

This course deals with political developments in Ottoman and Republic periods, establishing political parties, the influences of Turkish community, cultural and economical life.

4) State structure of Ottomans
5) Document of Agreement (Sened-i İttifak)
6) Administrative Reforms Edict and its Reflections on the Ottoman political thought
7) Development of political thought in Ottomans
8) Midterm examination/Assessment
9) Trends of thought in the recent period of Ottomans
10) Constitutional monarchy thought and implementation
