1) The student learns the place and importance of motion pictures and their directors in the history of culture and acquires the knowledge that all these factors should be taken into consideration when analyzing the cultural structure of a particular period.
2) Gains the ability to analyze the social, economic, political and cultural connections between cinema and history and to evaluate the relationship between cinema and history from a holistic perspective
3) Learns the periods of cinema history and the art of editing, sound, image, acting and script specific to these periods.
4) Learns to see the reflections of political, military and economic events in a certain period on the history of cinema and to make a cultural history reading through films.
5) Learns to analyze the connections of the fictional atmospheres of historical films in cinematographic time and space with the objective present.
6) Learns the interpretations, evaluations and criticisms of cinema theorists and directors towards history and historians towards cinema.
7) Learns to analyze the formal and theoretical infrastructure of the films shot before the introduction of sound in cinema.
8) Learns the general tendencies of the cinema industry towards the transfer of historical events to film and which industrial films are made in line with these tendencies and how they are made.
9) Learns the forms and methods in which certain historical heroes or events are adapted to film in national cinemas.
10) Learns how cinema has changed and transformed throughout the historical process depending on which motives.
