Lighting illumination, Introduction of light. Definition of the light. Average illuminations, Lambert laws, Discharge lamps, Sodium, Neon and mercury lamps, Glare control, Fundamentals of light production, Lighting calculations, Indoor and outdoor average illumination ranges, Lighting design and installation aspects, Lighting objectives, Lighting criteria. Architectural drawing of illumination projects. Illumination calculation in illumination projects. Drawing of wiring schemes and project control. Single line diagram. Voltage drop calculations. Current control.Low current system. Circuit breaker selection guidelines. Experiments of Incandescent lamps, Metal Halogen discharge lamps, Fluorescent lamps, Mercury discharge lamps, Low and high pressure sodium lamp experiments.
