Course Contents

General characteristic of semiconductors and PN junction. Diodes and their general characteristic. DC resistance (static resistance), AC resistance (dynamic resistance) and average resistance. The models of diodes. Turn-Off delay time and thermal resistance of diodes. Using of diodes for logic. Half-wave and full-wave rectifiers and their applications. Chopper circuits, Clamp circuit. Introduction of transistor. Common Base Circuit, Common Collector Circuit, Common Emitter Circuit and their applications. DC analysis of transistor circuits. AC analysis of transistor circuits. Modeling of transistors (re model and hybrid model).
