Course Contents

This course covers, main information about quality, its historical evoluation, related probability distributions, variability and quality improvement methods, quality control charts and acceptance sampling.

Weekly Schedule

1) The description, concept and history of quality. Quality leaders and their philosophies. Total quality control and total quality management.
2) Quality management systems, quality standarts and CE certificate.
3) Quality improvement tools and methods
4) Statistical quality control, qualification, history.
5) Permutations, combinations, probability, probability distributions
6) Sampling and counting, sampling methods
7) Simple random sampling, standard error, confidence intervals, sample size determination
8) Midterm examination/Assessment
9) Quality variability, specification limits, control limits and control state, kontrol charts, averages and standard deviations control charts, averages and dispersion ranges control charts
10) P, nP, U, Un or C control charts
11) Acceptance sampling, its nature, purpose and importance, producer and consumer risks, the role in developing of quality
12) The single acceptance sampling for defective and defect, plan curve, protection of the manufacturer and the consumer against the risks
13) The Dodge Romig acceptance sampling system, MIL-STD-105 A system, determination of the single sampling acceptance plan
14) The double acceptance sampling for defective and defect, double sampling plan curve, the Dodge Romig double acceptance sampling system, determination of the single sampling acceptance plan with MIL-STD-105 A system.
15) Single acceptance sampling with continuous variable
16) Final examination
