1) To be able to define the pipe flows.
2) To be able to compute the head losses in pipe flows.
3) To be able to analyze pipes in series and parallel, pipelines and pipe networks.
4) To be able to analyze pumps and pipelines and pipe networks.
5) To be able to understand open channel flows.
6) To be able to understand uniform and gradually varied flows in open channels.
7) To be able to analyze water surface profiles in gradually varied flows and hydraulic jumps in rapidli varying flows.
8) To be able to make hydraulic design of open channels.
9) To be able to build hydraulic models and to process dimensional analysis.
