Course Contents

Behavior of high strength concrete and prestressing tendon. Definition of prestressed concrete. Definition of pre-stressing and post-stressing, and their procedures. Principles of prestressed concrete design. Losses in prestressing tendons. Flexural design in prestressed concrete beams. Shear strength calculations in prestressed concrete beams. Prestressing in continuous beams.
