Introduction to geophysics
This course covers; principles of wave propagation, azimuth, back azimuth and great circle concepts, particle motions, earthquake recording systems, seismograph types, seismicity of the earth, reading far-field and near-field seismograms, determination of the earthquake phases, deep earthquakes, determination of occurrence time, magnitude, and location of the earthquakes, comparision of magnitudes.
