1) Classify the ground-construction relations
2) Do the investigation of surtructure elements without damage
3) Determine the sutructure and concrete properties and Earthquake damage relations by using geophysical methods
4) Do the Covermetre and Ferroscan measurements
5) Give examples of works for solving the construction and environment problems by using geophysical methods as ground penetrating radar (GPR) and resistivity methods
6) Determine the soil properties and potential collepse zone of roads by using sesimic tomography method

Course Contents

This course covers; determination of soil construction, relationship between earthquake and hazard, concrete and its properties, determination of concrete attribute Ferroscan measurements, covermeter measurements, corrosion Geophysical methods applied for constructions, ground penetrating radar (gpr), resistivity methods in solutions of construction and environment problems, determination of highway and bridge properties using geophysical and nondestructive methods SH wave refraction and refraction, seismic wave propagation methods in construction applications, capacity determination of unknown foundations, determination of fondation length by geophysical methods, determination of potential raptured zones under roads by geophysical methods, seismic tomography application in order to ınvestigate soil properties
