1) Recognize the properties of rocks magnetization
2) Recognize the Secondary magnetization of rocks
3) Recognize the secondary magnetizations cleaning and measuring devices

Course Contents

This course covers;introduction of physical principles, historical basics of archeo and paleomagnetism, and of applied geophysics prospection methods and their application types, comparison of paleomagnetic data and reliability of the results, calculation of paleo pole (remenance direction, direction stability, intensity stability, tectonic and metamorphic interactions, diagrams required for formation of remenance directions), paleo intensity measurements, results of the paleomagnetic researches, Importance of Turkey in terms of work paleo and archeomagnetism , case studies from Turkey and the world to work on a variety of topics related to.
