Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1) Explain the advanced capabilities of Aspen V12 simulation software and the utilization of the software in process design, calculations and simulations.
2) Explain to model the complex processes frequently encountered in oil, gas and petrochemical industries.
3) Explain the methods to size process equipment such as heat exchangers, fired heaters, pumps, compressors, turbines, pressure vessels, control valves, columns, and trays using Aspen and other specialty software.
4) Explain the methods to design and model distillation columns.
