Course Contents

This course covers content and origin of ınternational trade theory, absolute advantage and the theory of comperative advantage, analysis of foreign trade with opportunity cost and ındifference curves, analysis of offer curve, the Heckscher-Ohlin model, factor endowment theory, factor-price equalization theory, Stolpher Samuelson, specific factor model; Leontief paradox, new theories of foreign trade, foreign trade and economic growth, ınternational trade policy, objectives and instruments, tariffs, other trade policy instuments, liberalization of world trade; international economic integrations, the Europen Union, foreign trade of Turkey, foreign exchange markets, balance of payments theory, causes of balance of payments deficit, macroeconomic policies in open economies, international economic problems and Turkey.
