Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1) Recognizes and defines the fields of interest of the science of psychiatry, its relations with different disciplines, and practices carried out inside and outside the hospital
2) Knows the diagnosis, differential diagnosis and treatment of common psychiatric disorders, discusses these issues, and makes a treatment plan.
3) Discusses and analyses the issues of "patient-doctor" relations, "difficult situations in patient-physician relations", and "stigmatization in psychiatry and medicine" in general terms
4) Developes the knowledge and skills by watching videos on mental state examination and interview techniques, participating in patient interviews, interviewing patients under the supervision of assistant physicians, and expresses and reports their observations, feelings and thoughts with the skills they have developed
5) Critically discusses and reports his/her observations by participating in group practices within the clinic.
