Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1) Bilgisayar destekli tasarım yöntemlerini öğrenir. RHİNO yazılımını tanır.
2) Use basic drawing and modeling concepts and commands to make two and three dimensional design
3) Design new and original designs with computer aided design software. Defines the designed product with its three-dimensional features
4) Design projects using various methods and makes three-dimensional drawings via RHİNO software
5) Present the variations desinged on RHİNO program as a file
6) Solves problems by using the right time between design sketch and design implementation process. Draws three-dimensional models in computer environment.
7) Learns professional terminology and concepts about computer aided design.
8) Use computer-aided design methods based on operation standards and ergonomic data properly
9) Examine the cooperations using two dimensional modelling systems

Course Contents

At the end of this course, the student acquires Learning Outcomes and sub-skills under the specified main headings. Recognizes RHİNO software. Recognizes the basic drawing and modeling concepts and commands required for three-dimensional design in computer environment. Models the designed product with technical drawing features.

Weekly Schedule

1) Getting Started with RHİNO
2) Windows view from four different angles (top, front, left, perspective) functions, wireframe, surface and solid modeling techniques covering a three-dimensional model drawing Latch drawing. Wıre cage latch modelıng. Coordinate cartesian polar absolute relative system. Three-dimensional drawing studies over the taught commands. Cup, handle, plate modeling
3) Teapot handle spout cover modeling.
4) Juicer modelling.
5) Spoon and fork modelling.

8) Cube or triangular cup handle plate modeling.
