Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1) Explain computer-aided design techniques and recogize Rhino software
2) Use basic drawing and modeling concepts and commands required to make three-dimensional design
3) Create new and original designs using computer-aided design software
4) Create projects using various methods and make three dimensional drawings using solid modelling commands
5) Present the variations desinged on solid modelling program as a file
6) Solve problems using the time between design sketches and implementation process appropriately and make three-dimensional technical drawings on computer and create photo-realistic images on three-dimensional modelling
7) Explain occupational terminology and concepts in computer-aided design and expound properties and application areas of softwares to make three-dimensional computer-aided ceramic designs design software
8) Use computer-aided design methods based on operation standards and ergonomic data properly
9) Examine the cooperations using three dimensional modelling systems

Course Contents

At the end of this course learning outcomes specified under the main headings and sub-learn skills are acquired. Introduction to Rhino software, and fundamental drawing and modelling concepts and commands required to create three-dimentional design on the computer. Defining the design using technical drawing properties. Finalizing the three-dimentional drawing using solid modelling commands. Enabling the efficient use of computer-aided design methods in accordance with business standards and ergonomic data. Gaining better understanding of the fields of use by gaining familiarity with the businesses that use these systems. Presentation and dissertation of the variations created using the solid modeling program. Reaching the level of capability to create computer-based three-dimentional technical drawings. Creating photo-realistic images in three-dimentional modeling. Gaining familiarity with the properties and with the fields of use of the softwares used in the creation of computer-aided three-dimentional ceramic designs.

Weekly Schedule

1) Rhinoceros program menu commands.
2) Windows view from four different angles (top, front, left, perspective) functions, wireframe, surface and solid modeling techniques covering a three-dimensional model drawing Latch drawing.
3) Cup drawing, drawing the starting pot.
4) Teapot drawing.
5) Drawing signet ring.
6) Drawing of the whole ring.
7) Vray materyal atama, vrayrender motoru özellikleri, render almak.
8) Midterm examination/Assessment
9) Tri-band ring drawing.
10) Spoons, forks drawing.
11) Juicer drawing.
12) Juicer drawing.
13) Assigning a picture, photograph and decoration etc. on a model.
14) Detailed description of the properties of Vray render .
15) Final examination
