Course Contents

investigate and discuss the vitalness of pattern as a specific art discipline, even indirectly being prerequisite for plastic arts and how it continues to its existence as a form of expression since the beginning of civilization. Pattern class object (a live model, organic or inorganic object) is based on questioning. First of all object should re-discover; if it is possible it would try to be understood in every aspect by touching, by walking around and in this way it is drawn from differnt angels by creating the interpretation with internalize it in mind as muc as possible. Educational process and problems of the process are discussed with student and determine the needs to be done about the resolution of the problem. Drawing on the subject of theoretical research is concluded with a topic given to each group in the form of visuals based on presentations. Student's practical studies that had been done during the period will be stored in their personal file for evaluating them in the exams.

Weekly Schedule

1) Students study drawing from nude model.
2) Students reflect charasteristic of nude model with drawing.
3) Students perform interior sketches with figur.
4) Students try to capture the when nude model moving.
5) Students perform clair-obscure with drawing, create light effects.
6) Students draw with mix-media using more then one drawing material.
7) Students draw with indian ink and brush, correct their mistakes with white tempera.
8) Midterm examination/Assessment
9) Students draw with varoius colour of pastel chalks from nude model.
10) Students draw with charcoal or chalk from nude model
11) Drawing from model in interior with pen and ink
12) An Portrait study will choose as example than student draw self portrait
