Course Contents

In this course the general concepts about communication basic concepts, the development process of communication, emergence of media, the first newspapers in Europe and its the role of developing process of democracy in Europe, the press in the history of Ottoman Empire and Republic of Turkey, the freedom of the press in Turkey, the developments in the communication technologies, media monopoly and conglomerates, promotion and lottery, radio and television broadcasting and the institution of TRT, establishing of commercial radio and television in Turkey, developments in communication technologies, communication networks, the development of computer technology, the place of computer in communication, the concept of network and the new media design will be discussed.
