1) Recognize the differences between the scientific methodology and other research methods
2) Recognize the basic principles of the scientific methodology
3) Gain ability to design appropriate research model by selecting the right methods and techniques to resolve a a given problem in the field of social sciences.
4) Gain ability to effectively gathering the necessary data from the appropriate resources to resolve a scientific problem
5) Perform basic data analyses by using computer software.
6) Prepare a research report by using the results of the research.

Definition, aims, and properties of science and scientific methodology, historical development and phases of the scientific methodology, principles of the scientific methodology, steps of the scientific research process, data collection tools and methods, measurement and scaling, sampling procedures, data processing, data analysis, writing a research report, citation and bibliography.
