| Amaç | 1998 - 1999 Eğitim - Öğretim Yılı'nda faaliyete başlayan Kocaeli Üniversitesi İletişim Fakültesi Radyo Sinema ve Televizyon Bölümü'nün temel ilkesi çağını, kendi yaşadığı toplumu ve dünyayı iyi tanıyan, düşünen, sürekli sorgulayan, radyo, televizyon, sinema ve iletişim alanında yaratıcı ve yapıcı yüksek düzeyde uzman meslek ve bilim adamları yetiştirmektir. | Kabul Koşulları | Bölüme kayıt yaptırmak için ÖSYM tarafından düzenlenen sınavlarda belirlenen taban puanı alarak başarılı olmak gerekir. Yurt içi veya dışında eşdeğer bir programda öğrenim gören bir öğrenci, üniversite tarafından kontenjan açıldığı takdirde yatay geçiş için başvuru yapabilir. Öğrenci kabulü, başvuruda bulunan öğrencilerin başarı durumlarının değerlendirilmesi sonucu gerçekleşir. Üniversite tarafından onaylanmış ve bir anlaşma ile sınırları belirlenmiş öğrenci değişim programları kapsamında yurt dışından gelen öğrenciler bölümde İngilizce olarak verilen derslere kayıt yaptırabilirler. | Kabul Koşulları (İngilizce) | Students who get the required score from relevant test type in the central entrance exam conducted by OSYM ( Student Selection and Placement Center) can register to the department. | Program Genel Profili | Bölümümüzde iletişim alanının yanı sıra radyo, televizyon ve sinema alanlarında kuramsal bilgiyle uygulamayı harmanlayan dersleri içeren bir lisans programı yürütülmektedir. Müfredatımız anabilim dallarımızda (İletişim Bilimleri, Fotoğraf ve Grafik, Sinema, Radyo ve Televizyon) uzmanlaşmaya olanak tanıyacak biçimde tasarlanmıştır. Bölümümüz bünyesindeki geniş seçmeli ders listesi ve staj olanakları ile öğrencilere sektörün ihtiyacı olan uzmanlık eğitimi verilmesi hedeflenmektedir. Bu süreçte Bölüm olarak amacımız çağını, kendi yaşadığı toplumu ve dünyayı iyi tanıyan, düşünen ve sürekli sorgulayan, radyo, televizyon, sinema ve iletişim alanında yaratıcı ve yapıcı yüksek düzeyde uzman meslek ve bilim adamları yetiştirmek ve kuramsal yaklaşımları uygulamaya geçirebilecek ortamları yaratabilmektir. Ayrıca dileyen öğrencilerimiz için Fakültemiz içinde Yan Dal Programı’na ve diğer fakültelerle yapılan antlaşmalarla sonucunda Çift Ana Dal Programı’na devam olanağı da sunulmaktır. Bölümümüzde Erasmus Programı’yla yurtdışında ve Farabi Programı’yla da yurtiçinde öğrenci değişimi yapılmaktadır. | Program Genel Profili (İngilizce) | The undergraduate program in our department is designed to give students a basic understanding of communication as well as specialized courses in the field which blends theoretical knowledge with practice.Our curriculum is designed to allow specialization in the main fields of study of our Department (Communication Studies, Photography and Graphics, Cinema, Radio and Television). List of elective courses within the department and internship opportunities to students with a wide sector aims to provide specialized training needs. In this process, our goal is to train creative and constructive students in the field of communication, radio, television, cinema as high-level professionals and scientists who can comprehend, think about and constantly question the age, society and the world they live in, and create the environment to apply theoretical knowledge into practice. In addition, for students who wish to pursue interdisciplinary programs may attend to Minor Program within the faculty and Double Major Program with other departments. | Genel Bilgi | Radyo, Televizyon ve Sinema Bölümü, örgün ve ikinci öğretim olmak üzere iki lisans eğitim programı, iki yüksek lisans ve bir doktora programında eğitim uygulamaktadır. Yüksek lisans ve doktora programlarında eğitim, Sosyal Bilimler Enstitüsü bünyesinde gerçekleştirilmektedir. | Mezuniyet Koşulları | Bu programdan mezun olabilmek için, öğrencilerin akademik danışmanlarının da yönlendirmesiyle her bir eğitim/öğretim yılı içindeki iki dönemde toplam 60 AKTS sağlamak koşuluyla 4 yıllık müfredattaki bütün derslerden başarılı olması, öğrenim süresince toplam 240 AKTS sağlaması ve genel not ortalamasının 4,00 üzerinden en az 2,00 olması gerekir. 4 yılın sonunda son ve genel bir sınava daha girilmez. | Mezuniyet Koşulları (İngilizce) | In order to have bachelor degree in this programme, students have to succeed all the courses in 4-year curriculum on the condition that meeting 60 ECTS each year in two terms under direction of the academic supervisor, meeting the 240 ECTS requirement during the education period and having a grade point average of 2.00 out of 4.00. Recognition of Prior Learning
Lateral or vertical transfer student admission is carried out basing on the "The Transfer Regulations for Associate and Undergraduate Degrees, Double Majors, Sub-specialties and Credit Transfer Regulations among Institutions". The prior learning of transfer students is recognized as per the relevant regulations of Council of Higher Education and under the coordination of the Adaptation Committee.
Kocaeli University guarantees in advance that all credits gained and courses received by an Erasmus student after the mobility abroad will be fully recognized and transferred into Kocaeli University system and upon arrival with the approval of the authorities and the student. While preparing the" Erasmus Credit Transfer and Grade Equivalency Table" the ECTS grades are transmitted to Kocaeli University grading system.
Turkish higher education institutions are in the start-up phase about the recognition of non-formal and informal education. However; computer and foreign language skills that students improve on their own, are evaluated through exemption examinations by the university. Students who prove to be proficient in such exams are exempted from related course(s).

Examination Regulations, Assessment and Grading
Examination, assessment and grading procedure is mainly based on Kocaeli University Education and Training Regulations for Associate and Undergraduate Degrees Depending on the nature of the course various instruments such as midterms, final exams, short exams, presentations, assignments, projects, portfolios and applications may be involved in the assessment process of a semester on condition that students are informed about their weights upon registry. Contribution of these activities to final grading range between 30% -70% and So as to be eligible to take the final exam, a student has to fulfill the attendance requirement of 70% for theoretical and 80 % for practical courses. Once this requirement is fulfilled, attendance is not required again in case of a failure and retaking that course. Final grading of a course is determined on the basis of semester studies and final exam. Those with certified and officially approved excuses are also given a makeup exam.
